We have been working on chopper custom for a few years now and this time, we are trying something new.
The bike name is PUTRA PETIR, which means Son of the Lightning. pretty cool name to represent the character of this beast.
Combining aluminum and chrome finishing in one bike. the idea is to make a bike which looks cool like a blazing thunder. after a few days of sketching, we’ve come out with a design and are very happy with the result.
So here it is, she pleases our eyes and hopes it’ll do the same thing to you, enjoy.
At Elders Garage, our crew spends few days making this sick looking wheels, handmade from a raw bar. and the results are so satisfying. Front wheel is 21″ and ar using 90/90 – 21 tire, while rear wheel size is 18″ and using 4,5 – 18 tire.
The gas tank is hand made and can handle 6 litre of gas. pretty solid for a day to day use.
PUTRA PETIR uses Chopperland frame which is a collaboration product from Elders Garage with Kickass Choppers. Almost all of the parts are hand crafted and produced at the garage.
Designed by Veroland for everyday use chopper bike, Chopperland Frame is made with high-quality tube and smooth bending, also with an epoxy surface. This beautiful iron fits to Royal Enfield bullet 500 efi, Royal Enfield classic 350, Royal Enfield Classic 500, Kawasaki KZ200, Suzuki Thunder 250, Yamaha SR 400, Yamaha SR 500, Yamaha Scorpio, Etc.
In this second issue we bring you a fresh look of a vintage cub from Honda, 1968 CT90 K0. The Honda CT90 has an interesting origin story. Honda America’s first sales manager, Jack McCormack noticed that a Honda dealership in Idaho was selling more Honda 50cc bikes than all 6 dealerships based in Los Angeles. The dealership had swapped out the street tires for knobbies, put in a larger rear sprocket, and marketed it as a trail bike for farmers. Honda America sent one of these examples back to corporate, and the CT bikes were born.
The one we have in the garage this week is not fully original. it had been customised. The owner painted the front fender white, put a plug and play Roadster kit Gas Tank and swap the seat into a two seater.
it still has the original “trail” exhaust and the knobbies, so you can go where the roads don’t and with more fuel.
The owner is very fond of Honda motorcycle and wants to get the bike to match with his attitude. This

THIS IS OUR FIRST ISSUE
Starting this week, we are going to show you whats Hot and Cool in Elders Garage. So many bikes go in and out and we think it is worth to share with you guys. As for the first issue, we pick the cutest of all, Japanese built Honda Motocompo.
Launched 37 years ago
This eye-catching small bike was launched 37 years ago in 1981. the original Motocompo was designed specifically to fit into the boot of Honda’s then-new City, the smallest car in the firm’s range.
It can be folded into a suitcase size
Its bars and seat folded away to leave a suitcase-sized rectangle on wheels which sat perfectly in the back of the car, and Honda imagined that it would be a must-have option for huge numbers of the cars, projecting that it would sell as many as 10,000 of them every month.
The handlebars, seat, and foot-pegs fold into the scooter’s rectangular plastic body to present a clean, box-shaped package of 1185 mm L × 240 mm W x 540 mm H.
No tools necessary to dismount and stow
Convenient handles allow the average human to hoist the just-90-pound frame into the City’s boot about as easily as you’d expect. Perhaps questionable by present-day safety standards, each of Motocompo’s handlebars features threaded shafts driven by simple twist-knobs that allow each to quickly dismount and stow within the body; no tools necessary.
What do you think of this bike?
The original was heavily advertised in Japan. It was marketed in conjunction with the City in television ads featuring British Ska / 2 tone band Madness. So what do you think about this bike? it would be sick to have one of this kind in your garage or to have it displayed in your office space.

Elders Garage has just finished new a Chopperland built with SR 400 engine and it is about time to introduce her to the outer world, the nature. We also bring the RE 350 motorized – black Chopperland. after a quick research, we decided to pin Mount Bromo as the perfect terrain to test Choperland’s performance.
We were very excited for the trip but since we only have lazy riders (but seriously adventurous) for the trip, we towed the bike from Jakarta to the nearest city to Mount Bromo, Malang. It is 13.00 right after lunch we begin the ride Accompanied by a few lonely old and young fellow from Broom broom Bro Motorcycle Club. A motorcycle club so mysterious it never had an MC logo.
The ride from Malang to Mount Bromo is 70 km far and normally take 3 hours long ride. Our ride begins at 13.00 and ends at 21.00, we pull over every few kilometers to take a break lol. Long story short, we made it to Bromo in one piece, bikes are fine, the riders ain’t, but they embrace the lower back pain perfectly. the next morning the adventures begin again.
Before we discuss the bikes, let us explain about Mount Bromo. This slice of heaven is a playground you can have for free. you can go there with bikes and have the best time of your life, seriously. Life changing one. Ok, no need to explain more because you better bring your lazy ass over there and prove it yourself.
Okay now, let’s go down to the real story and get more dramatic. David, who handmade the Chopperland frame himself (well, of course with the help of his down to earth crew) is on the line here. his masterpiece is being tested. will the frame do any good performance out in the wild? well, the answer is like this. stay with us.
Rider 1 is Heret, using Black Chopperland. Rigid Frame, with a more inward handle bar and longer fork (making it more manly and harder to handle). Powered by RE 350 Engine, we use the original front shock breaker so it is believed without any doubt that this built is perfectly fit for terrain like Bromo & Himalaya. Rider 2 is Anka, riding the latest chopperland built, rustic finishing, rigid frame, flat handlebar (for easier handling and better vision range) but higher foot peg. Anybody asked about this will easily say “well, both riders will have a hard time riding the choppers out there and will definitely have their balls busted in no time”. But what really happens is the opposite of what people think! based on their honest testimony they are perfectly fine, with both balls made it home in one piece and lower back kept relaxed! Amazing! and those built are also unexpectedly easy to handle in such a wild terrain.
Here is the explanation why such a chopper can be really fun and relatively easy to handle in sketchy terrain like Bromo. First, both built is so lightweight that a small guy with a very lean body can handle it. Talking about Black Chopperland, even on a rigid frame, inward handlebar, and the seat is formed in such way that the riding position is very comfortable, Heret said that it felt just like sitting in a sofa. Lower back pain is probably just a myth!? Semi Offroad tire also helped alot when it comes to sandy ground.
As for rider 2, Anka, he felt a little bit weird feeling in his lower back but it immediately disappear, swept away by the beauty of the nature Bromo has. His handlebar is more flat and with a shorter fork it makes the ride more enjoyable. Foot peg is a little bit higher than the black built, this could be one reason causing that weird feeling around his lower back.
After all the review we can come up with the conclusion that David’s Ass is perfectly safe, he and his team made a very good job on both built. both Chopperland can overcome a sketchy terrain, frame quality is on point, riders are all happy and both built handled everything with no hustle.
We would like to thank BROOMBROOMBRO for being such a fun people out there and for letting us shoot for this blog in almost every time we had together in Bromo.

We have always been fascinated by a female motorcyclist, and today we have the amazing chance to get to know one. It’s Tamara Bell. One of the most influential female motorcyclists based in London UK. She is a model, a motorcyclist & creative director who has produced a short video for Elders Co (Coming soon!). She also organizes UK Custom Chopper Show – ASSEMBLY. It’s our dream girl! When we heard that Tamara was visiting Bali, we were very excited to meet her in person but the timing didn’t work out and we felt pretty upset about it. Anyway, it’s 2018, if you can’t meet her you can DM her! So we did, we got her on board to shoot and had the chance to have an interview with Tamara. You are welcome!
EC (Elders Co.)
So, Tamara, we hope you enjoy your time in Bali. is it your first time? or you do travel a lot? TB (Tamara Bell)
I was in Bali loads last year, I think I ended up being there on three separate occasions for a couple of weeks at a time, attempting to surf and just riding around. I love it over there! I travel a lot, I get pretty restless staying in the same place for too long and luckily my job allows me to do that.
EC
Every biker has its own love story with their bikes, How is yours? I mean, how did it all begin? TB I don’t have any romantic stories about getting into bikes sadly – I was just a really shitty kid and was drawn to things that were dangerous and stupid. I found out way after I learned to ride that my Grandfather was into bikes too but sadly I never got to have that conversation with him.
EC
Tell us how is motorcycle culture in the UK, especially in London. TB
Whenever I go back to the UK I’m always just fucking impressed when I am reminded of the conditions that everyone rides in. It’s cold as fuck and rains constantly but we’re all still out there riding which is rad. We all travel the entire country to ride together and support each other’s events, it’s a small but good community. There are some great shows all over the country – The Trip Out in Woodbridge, The Hook Up in Wales. We recently started Assembly Chopper Show last summer which will be returning to House Of Vans this summer, so it will be awesome to have everyone in London for the weekend again.
EC
So, what is a motorcycle for Tamara Bell? is it passion? lifestyle? or a way of life? TB Currently its a 1977 HD Ironhead that’s in pieces all over London. If I could stay in one spot for long enough it might have a chance of getting rebuilt. Ha.
I don’t know, all of the above I guess. it’s where I feel most comfortable, most chilled and most afraid all at once.
EC
What is your first bike? and how old are you when you have it? and where is it right now? TB The first bike I had was a killer little Matte Black Yamaha SR 125, Think I got it like 10 years ago now. I bought that thing before I knew what the fuck I was doing and just used to ride it around London at night hoping for the best. I started going to the auto jumble near my parent’s house and just asking all the old boys loads of questions about how to use it. I sold it to another young girl who was just learning to ride which was cool. EC
what about now, what is your bike right now? and what is the story? TB I got this old Ironhead from a guy around Liverpool through a friend, said it had been sitting for quite a few years and he hadn’t done anything to do it other than get it to turn over. I was so stoked to finally have a bike again, I rode the shit out of it and then one of the Pistons blew up somewhere along the M40. It’s a bit of a mess at the moment. In the meantime, I’ll ride whatever anyone will lend me. I ride my friends 55 Panhead when I’m back in London, and most recently borrowed my best babe Imogen’s Sportster while I was in LA to ride out to the desert. I’m really lucky, every country I go to someone is always willing to let me ride/break their bike, it’s awesome.
EC
We understand that you are well connected with other female bikers throughout the world? how did you guys do it? TB
I love meeting Women who are just putting the miles down and getting on with doing their thing without making a song and dance out of it. I’m lucky to know some of the raddest women worldwide who I love riding with. Motorcycles are generally something favored by men over women, that’s just how it is. So I guess we have a bond in that we all share a similar interest in something that is fairly male-dominated. It’s nice. Similarly, I’ve been riding with men for years and have equal love for them and the respect they have shown me as just a person who rides and likes motorbikes, regardless of gender.
EC
you’ve been riding with friends in a lot of different places, which are your favorite one to ride? and why? TB
I think getting to rag a Royal Enfield around the mud volcanoes in Romania is still one of my best motorbike experiences. I was filming a commercial for one of their bikes a few years ago now and the landscape was just completely mad. There are so many places I still wanna ride, I would love to do some more off-road excursions.
EC
what more do you want to achieve at the motorcycle scene? any dreams you want to fulfill? TB I’m really enjoying working on the Assembly show and getting all these rad bikes from all over the world over to the UK so looking forward to seeing how the show progresses over the years.
I’d like to get some more miles down in some different countries and just continue to prioritize fun over any real life commitments. Send it!
Back in the mid of 2016, Elders Company and Kickasschoppers started a movement that later changed the face of Chopper Culture in Jakarta big time. Chopper culture was not very common and have a terrifying image of being very exclusive, expensive and not everybody can have. Trough the short film that was created to break the ice (you can click here to watch it), Chopperland encourage motorcycle enthusiast to enter a new phase of the local motorcycle scene, it’s the era of Choppers.
One year later, Elders Company’s custom workshop “Elders Garage” together with Kickasschoppers make a big move to support the scene by completing the last piece of the puzzle. A Chopper Frame. wait, it is not just an ordinary frame, it is a light chopper frame specially created for Indonesia market.
